Methodology

How estimates and confidence labels work.

Reward Flights UK is a planning tool. Estimates can change, reward availability is not guaranteed, and you should confirm availability before transferring points.

Data confidence labels

Live exact

Confirmed from a live source for the requested route, cabin, and context.

Recently seen

Observed recently from source data, but reward seats and prices may have changed.

Estimated

Calculated from published rules, source data, and assumptions rather than live availability.

Guide only

Planning guidance only. Confirm points, fees, and availability with the programme.

Valuation ranges

Points value tools use low, typical, and aspirational pence-per-point ranges from source-backed assumptions. The result is information for planning, not personal financial advice, and should be compared with current cash fares, fees, taxes, and your own circumstances.

Fee estimate approach

Fee ranges are estimated from route groups, cabin, programme rules, and curated source data. They are shown as ranges because taxes, carrier surcharges, booking channels, and partner pricing can change.

Source review cadence

Each result includes sources and a last verified date. Higher-impact programme, route, transfer, and valuation assumptions are prioritised for review when public rules or source pages change.

Why estimates are used

Airline live availability, taxes, fees, and transfer bonuses can shift quickly and often require user accounts or booking sessions. Estimates keep uncertainty visible instead of implying certainty where the site has not checked a live booking source.
